    Security of your order

    When you send us an order it is sent in a secure and encoded manner, it cannot be read by anyone else. When submitting your order you are confirming to purchase goods and allowing South Coast Sailplanes to use your personal details for the purpose of supplying goods

    We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that you supplied to us lawfully (in accordance with the data protection act 1998).

    Your email will be held on our data base which may be used from time to time to contact you with updates about models or accessories.

    Data protection

    We strive to protect our customer’s details and as required by the UK data protection acts 1984 & 1998 we follow strict procedures in storage and disclosure of information that you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access.

    Certain links on this site may lead to websites not under the control of South Coast Sailplanes. We do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage you sustain when visiting these web sites.

    Information

    South Coast Sailplanes do not represent or warrant that the material held on this web site is completely accurate or up to date. Mistakes do and will happen from time to time concerning prices and/or stock levels.

    Changes to terms and conditions

    South Coast Sailplanes reserve the right to change or update the terms and conditions relating to the use of the site.

    Governing Law

    These terms and conditions are guaranteed by and constructed in accordance with English Law with English Law courts having exclusive jurisdiction.

    Our rights

    We reserve the right to modify or remove, temporarily or indefinitely the website or any part thereof without notice. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether changes have been made.

    Contract cancellation and returns

    As described within the consumer protection (distance selling) regulations 2000, the day after delivery of the goods you are entitled to 7 working days cooling off period, whereby you have the unconditional right to cancel the order for these items. You must inform us by in writing or by email with your intention and a full refund including shipping cost will be issued within 30 days of cancellation. If you would like to return items to us then please contact us by telephone within 7 days from the date of the delivery. Any item may be returned due to an error on our part or because the item is defective. Any items must be returned in their original state complete with adequate packaging and in an unused and re-saleable condition. A re-stocking charge may apply to the item. South Coast Sailplanes accepts no responsibility for cosmetic or any mistreated or misuse of goods after they have left our premises.

    We supply goods which are suitable for their intended and stated use. In the event that any product purchase proves to be unsuitable due to defective workmanship or faulty material you can return them to us for a replacement or refund. In many cases the item may be covered by the manufacturers warranty and this will take precedence.  Upon request we can arrange for the collection of the item from the address specified and we shall deduct this amount from the cost of your refund. Your statutory rights are not affected.

    Claims

    Claims for shortages and damages must be made with 10 working days from date of receipt. Claims not received within this period may not be met.

    Postage and packing

    The items sent for dispatch are boxed to a high standard and in normal circumstances will arrive intact and in perfect condition. We respectfully request that customers do not sign for boxes that are damaged in any way, the courier should be informed and the parcel taken back to the sorting office.

    Postage costs applied to the orders made online are intended for UK inland only, The Isles, Islands and highlands of the UK will be more, please note South Coast Sailplanes will email you the postage and packing charges, you will have a right to remove your order with no charge if you are not accepting of the costs quoted. European Union Countries and Worldwide please note the postage and packing prices will be quoted by email after the order has been placed. These extra amounts will not be taken by South Coast Sailplanes until authorisation has been made either by email or a telephone call and agreed by the customer.

    Any orders made online internationally, outside the EU, will be charged according to destination and the customer is requested to call or email for postage charges. Please note if import duty is payable at the destination this will be the responsibility of the Purchaser and not South Coast Sailplanes.

    SAFETY POLICY

    Please note that many models we sell have the ability to cause harm to people around you whilst flying, if incorrectly used. Incorrect use includes improper installation/construction or assembly of our products, improper flying or use of and operating of our products in violation of the established safety policies as laid down by the British Model Flying Association (BMFA) see www.bmfa.org

    Always check your radio and gear prior to flying, ensuring freshly charged batteries. South Coast Sailplanes do not accept liability for the use of any of our products or if you fail to install the radio equipment correctly (including servos) during construction.

    South Coast Sailplanes recommends that you take out insurance against third party injury through the British Model Flying Association,www.bmfa.org
