Onyx F3J

This is a F3J competition glider that has an outstanding performance. It has a 3 piece wing with curved tips. The centre panel is an all glass hollow moulded with a carbon spar. The outer wing panels come as the lighter carbon/Kevlar mix D box section with carbon trailing edges, constructed with wooden ribs which are carbon capped. This produces a wing which is not only extremely light but has an outstanding torsion strength and rigidity. Flaps and ailerons are pre-cut and finished.

The tailplane has an all flying stabiliser and is built from a high tech balsa/carbon structure with a tubular carbon spar and is covered with Oracover. The only job to do is to fit the rudder horn in place.

The fuselage comes with a separate carbon tail boom which is glued in place after the ballast tube is fitted. It has an adjustable tow hook and ballast that can take 850gms of ballast.

The servos to use are 4 x Hitec HS125/5125 in the wings and 2 x MPX Polo digi 4(or similar) for the tail.
