Competition Gliders (F3B F3J & F3F)

This section has all our competition gliders. Most are around 3 metre wingspan and have been designed within the requirements for each of the F3 disciplines. These are high performance model aircraft built to the highest standards and tested in some of the most challenging arenas.

We have recently re-catagorised this section into F3B / F3F which tend to be stronger and heavier planes than the F3J class which usually demands a lighter airframe.

Sport <2m (less than 2 metre wingspan)

Smaller gliders ranging from beginners models to exceedingly strong airframes suitable for dynamic soaring. These planes are usually 2 piece wings and can even be sneaked into the car when you go on holiday!

Sport >2m (greater than 2 meter wingspan)

Larger gliders with usually greater performance than the smaller airframes.

Electric

Our range of electric planes which are suitable for a variety of uses ranging from F5D through to flat field soaring just using the motor to gain height.

Scale

Derived from full size planes these have a natural beauty in the air, just watch out if you are flying a ridge which is refquented by full size as you may get confused as to which one you are flying!

DLG/HLG

DLG (discus launch gliders) are a relatively new class of glider that can be used from a flat field without the need for a bungee, the glider is launched rather like a discus with the aim of staying afloat as long as possible and if your lucky (or skilled enough) catching a nice thermal. These planes are exceedingly light

HLG gliders are small, lightweight gliders suitable for light bungee launching or slope flying.
